A beautiful ride through the Selkirk Mountains. Start with a long but gentle climb to the Retallack Pass then plunge down to New Denver and on through the incredible Slocan Valley. Then an out and back along the Columbia River and Arrow Lakes to Syringa Park. After that there are plenty of options to refuel in Castlegar before riding beside the Kootenay River through Nelson and then along Kootenay Lake back to Kaslo.
Expect this to be a hilly and challenging ride but with substantially less climbing than RWGPS estimates.
The ride starts and finishes at my house in upper Kaslo. I can find accommodations for folks either at my house or with friends. There is also a very good motel and many fine AirBnBs here in Kaslo.
