Up the easy side of the Monashee Pass, with a detour into the tiny town of Edgewood. Overnight works out well for Salmon Arm. We have permission to park in the grassy parking lot between the Stoke Hotel and the river.

The route appears overlength, but that allows for the two ferry crossings. No extra time is allowed for the ferry crossings. The first crossing is at about 50 km, and the sailings are on the hour. You will have a choice of starting at 05:00 or 05:30, to allow riders to gauge their speed to (hopefully) waste less time waiting for the ferry. PLEASE INDICATE WHICH START TIME YOU WOULD PREFER IN THE NOTES TO ORGANIZER SECTION OF REGISTRATION FORM.

There is lots of climbing, and long sections with no services- 103 km from the start to Lumby, and from Edgewood (180.4 km) to Lumby is 110 km. There is a good  store at Cherryville (266km), but it closes at 20:00 (8PM). The Chevron in downtown Salmon Arm, and the Circle K at the top of the hill are both open 24 hours (subject to change. There are 24 hour 7/11s in Armstrong and Sicamous.
