Conditions: Nice and clear, no smoke!!! A bit of cloud cover near Blue River. A few gentle breezes from random directions on Saturday. Brutally hot for Rick finishing Sunday afternoon (he also had headwinds for the last 75 km). Low +6C Saturday morning Saturday high 24C (PERFECT!!!) Beautiful starry night, and the moonlight on the river was spectacular! Sunday high mid 30s (too damn hot).

***August 3 UPDATE: Princeton Loop Counterclockwise Route has been changed to Blue River 600. Start is still at 1121 Dilworth Road Sorrento

>Due to the Keremeos Creek wildfire the route has been changed. Highway 3A between Keremeos and Twin Lakes is currently open, but has been closed and could close again at any time. Also, the area will be smoky, and any local accommodations will be needed for the people on evacuation orders from Apex and Green Mountain Rd.

The Blue River 600 is mostly highway, but with (mostly) good shoulders and a reasonable amount of traffic. There are 24 hour gas stations in Blue River(302.9km), Clearwater (Canco at 409km), Barriere (Esso at 471km), Rayleigh (Petro Can at 517.5 km). Expect all other services to be closed by 9 PM. The Wire Cache rest area washrooms at 355.5 km are heated and have running water. The Vavenby General Store ( 1km off route at 222km-384km) is excellent, but closes at 7PM.
