I am planning the Lower Mainland June 1000 (21st-23rd) and looking at a ride that is not in the lower mainland. It will be from Williams Lake to Bella Coola and back (with a small out and back on day 1 to get us the 1000). 

This is a challenging ride. There are limited services and there is approximately 80km of gravel (40 down and 40 up), mostly on the famed Heckman Hill. Check it out before you commit. It is 2000 metres of descending with 2000 metres of ascending, all on day 2. The hill has steep sections. I am trying to find out the current conditions of this part of the road.

This ride has been done years back within the BC Randonneurs club.

If there are at least 6 riders, I am planning a staffed control at the Anahim Lake Resort. This will be for both nights on this ride. A drop bag service will be part of the ride. There will be a place to sleep for both nights as well as hopefully dinner and breakfast food. These are the carrots I am hoping will get at least six rabbits to jump at this opportunity.

What I would like to know right now is if you think “yes, sign me up. This is the best ride” or “I am very interested and will consider this ride seriously”.
