The plan is to meet at the Balfour Ferry in time th catch the 6:30 AM sailing. There is free parking in a fenced lot near the ferry terminal. The ride will start from the Kootenay Bay Ferry Terminal as soon as we get off the boat, about 7:15 AM. There is one notable hill, immediately at the start, and again at the very end of the ride. After that it is never ending rollers and almost completely free of traffic and traffic lights. Measured altitude gain last year was 2160m, considerably less than RWGPS estimate.

Last year the weather was stellar on the day of the ride and the scenery was spectacular. Let's hope for a repeat this year.
