Pre-Ride Update, 29 March: A final decision has been made on the start! Please get your coffees at JJ Bean if you like, but make your way over the three blocks to the basketball court parking lot in Mount Pleasant Park at 15th and Manitoba. The finish will be back at JJ Bean as per the route. If you are held up getting coffees, I will be at the start until 9:15 or so. Its going to be a great day. Looking forward to seeing you out there.
 
Pre-Ride Update, 25 March: The plaza next to JJ Bean appears to be under construction. If we are unable to access the plaza on April 4, we will gather on 14th just west of Main (this is under discussion).
 
Pre-Ride Update, 16 March: Due to limited room at Brekke Bakery, the start/finish is moved to the pedestrian plaza beside the JJ Bean at 14th and Main.  The route is also tweaked to take bikeways along 14th, Cypress, York, and Point Grey Rd to avoid the traffic on McDonald and West 4th.  There is construction at various points along the route, please check back before the ride for further updates.

Come out and enjoy Vancouver's famous cherry blossoms! This is a great route for riders new to Randonneuring or anyone who feels intimidated about taking on a 100 km ride. There's a few hills around the Arbutus area, but the flat expanse of Richmond will let you really open up and test your capacity for speed. Test your early season legs on this Vancouver-centered route. This Populaire is a members only ride and registration is limited to 100 participants; please ensure your membership is up to date before signing up.

**New this year**:  download the route sheet/cue sheet from the RwGPS site linked from the map above.  We recommend the Print Cuesheet option:

  • In the map above, click on "View Full Version" at top left
  • Once in RWGPS, select "More" from the top left above the event title
  • Select "Print Cuesheeet"

You may prefer to download the cuesheet.csv file from the Export As File options.  Please let us know how this works for you as we would appreciate the feedback.  Your choice of GPS file can also be downloaded using the appropriate Export As File option.

Please renew your Annual Membership online before the ride, the fee this year is $20.  Event Registration Fee is $20, online registration, please.
