Preliminary details.  Nanaimo-Mill Bay-Port Renfrew-Comox-Cumberland-Nanaimo.  Services are limited since COVID, but Port Renfrew has always had limited services.  Plan your ride appropriately.  Service hours on POI on map are subject to change.  Be prepared!

Route uses some of the Cowichan Valley Trail--gravel--done in daylight. Route temporarily (for this year) detoured around washouts on CVT.

If you arrive at a business control outside business hours, self sign. (Berkey's Corners and Buckley Bay possible.)

Main start: Nanaimo, Chevron Gas, Woodgrove Centre.  Port Renfrew at 212km.  North Nanaimo has Best Western Hotel at 370km.

Alternate start 1: Mill Bay, Tim Hortons.  Parking on Deloume Rd 400m from start.  Port Renfrew at 120km.  Courtenay at 375km with several motels.

Alternate start 2: Cumberland, 4th@Dunsmuir.  This is the most difficult services option. Port Renfrew at 311km.  Lake Cowichan (eastbound) is 375km.  Best hotel option Lake Cowichan Lodge.
