The forecast for October 3 is excellent, 20C and clear skies! Come out for this tour of the hills of Mission and back via Fort Langley. If fall colors are out, this is the place to see them. A few hills in the first 120km with a return via the bike routes and paths back to Mount Pleasant. All in all a lovely day on the bike.
Pre-Ride notes from Thursday, October 1st:
The roads were very quiet and pleasant for riding. A few areas of construction here and there but generally ok. There is wooden bridge rebuild at km 92 so there is a short detour that adds about 3km. The route has been revised account for this. If you downloaded before 7:00 p.m., October 1, please download the cuesheet and GPS files again. There was road work on Mount Lehman heading North. There was alternating traffic on Thursday. This may or not be happening on Saturday. The delay was not long if you do have to wait. The Mary Hill Bypass still has construction but simply take the lane, it should not be terribly busy and the section is short. Pay attention to navigation on the bike paths and routes.
Please use the control card that will be attached to your Good to Go letters, to be sent out on Friday.
I will see you at the start on Saturday. The finish will likely be unstaffed. Sign your control card at the finish.
