Registration will open on May 5, 2024, 11 a.m.

This 2024 edition of the D'Arcy 400 replaces the Upper Levels Highway section of Hwy 99/1 with Marine Dr both going out and coming back.

The start and finish has been moved further west from the orginal Tim Hortons start location from previous editons.

A few notes:

The Tim Hortons at the start opens at 5:00 am.

This is a challenging ride with over 5000m of elevation gain. Pace yourself accordingly. DriveBC says the shoulders have just been sweeped (post Felche Pacific) hopefully they have done a good job. Highly puncture resistant tires are recommend.

The route is fairly simple. If there is any descrepicy between the route sheet and RWGPS go by the route sheet.

Both of the 7-11 stores in Squamish are controls, Garibaldi @99 going north and Cleveland @99 returning south.

As of this writing the D'Arcy General Store is closed. Hopefully it will be open again on ride day. Just in case make sure you stock up in Pemberton as it will be about 92 km before you can resupply.

RWGPS thinks that Pemberton Portage Road has an unpaved section, it is fully paved.

Be aware of the railway crossings on PP Road some are tretcherous. Best to get off the bike and walk across.

Have good lights for the return leg along with bright refective clothes and ankle bands.

This ride has no staffed controls so the boy scouts motto of "Always be prepared" applies.

The D'Arcy control will be at the Anderson Lake Boat Launch. Take some time to enjoy the view. Photos are welcome.

I may post a final update 2-3 days before the ride.

Happy cycling!
